Paintless dent repair or better known as PDR, is a method of repair used to repair hail damaged dents and day to day dents without need for fillers or paintwork.

The process involves a skilled technician gently and gradually massaging the panels on the underside back to its original state. The dents are skilfully removed using specialised tools and lighting without damaging the paint.

Each insurance company will follow their own repair procedures depending upon the size and severity of the storm.

Firstly, you would contact your insurance company and notify them of the damage to your vehicle. You may be advised of an assessment centre to take your car to for a quote, or in some cases you may be directed straight to the Panel Perfection on hotline (1300 831 173) to arrange a suitable time and location for an assessment of your vehicle.

The Panel Perfection team will quote the damage to your car, documenting any conventional repairs or parts that will need to be replaced. This initial assessment stage normally takes around 20mins to complete.

After that process, a formal quote will be sent to your insurance company for approval to commence repairs.

Once the initial assessment has taken place, your insurance company or a member of the Panel Perfection team will contact you to advise of a time and location for the repairs to be carried out.

Once the vehicle has been assessed, quoted and approved, the repairs can take from as little as 2-5 days depending upon the amount of damage to your vehicle. Repairs will take longer if conventional repairs are required.
